The Wallet

One of my first sewing projects when I got my sewing machine was this wallet I made based on this tutorial I found on pinterest. Here's how it turned out

the front view

the back view ( i added on a zippered pocket for coins )

the inside view (and my photo editing sucks)

Due to miscalculations on my part, I had to add on those zap on tapes to keep the wallet flap in place when its closed because my magnetic clasp was too high up. Thank god for the pretty fabric I used so the actual end result was not too much of an embarrassment to use in public. Also note to self to put on extra clasp to keep the bottom and middle flap together when not using anything from the bottom flap. I really hardly use it when actually paying at the counter and its too much hassle trying to wrestle with 3 flaps and the coin section at the back at once.

Anyway, not bad for a first attempt. I don't plan to put up intricate details of works I'm too ashamed to admit I created but I will probably make a collage at the end of the year so I can review my progress. I hope putting up pictures of my finished project would motivate me to put more effort into my work rather than just doing a half assed job, which is what I'm usually inclined to.
