Fabric Balls

Hubby was away for 2 whole weeks and this is what I created to show for his absence: a fabric ball for the kids

I got this complimentary charm pack from Lucy when I bought some sewing supplies from her online store and I've been wanting to make this for my babies so one fine night, it happened. Here's the results of my creation in action.

I think what I made must've been the small version coz my printer is still in storage and i traced the pattern from my mac. Not even sure if it's the right size but who cares when your printer is in bloody storage and you can't get access to it.

Overall, happy with the results and will most likely be making more of these in the future. FYI, I managed to cut off 2 sets of each colour block on a 5"x5" piece so it was a lot of fun with very little fabrics involved.

That's all folks and have fun sewing!

The Wallet

One of my first sewing projects when I got my sewing machine was this wallet I made based on this tutorial I found on pinterest. Here's how it turned out

the front view

the back view ( i added on a zippered pocket for coins )

the inside view (and my photo editing sucks)

Due to miscalculations on my part, I had to add on those zap on tapes to keep the wallet flap in place when its closed because my magnetic clasp was too high up. Thank god for the pretty fabric I used so the actual end result was not too much of an embarrassment to use in public. Also note to self to put on extra clasp to keep the bottom and middle flap together when not using anything from the bottom flap. I really hardly use it when actually paying at the counter and its too much hassle trying to wrestle with 3 flaps and the coin section at the back at once.

Anyway, not bad for a first attempt. I don't plan to put up intricate details of works I'm too ashamed to admit I created but I will probably make a collage at the end of the year so I can review my progress. I hope putting up pictures of my finished project would motivate me to put more effort into my work rather than just doing a half assed job, which is what I'm usually inclined to.

Testing...testing...

Oooh... it feels so good to be able to blog again. Thanks nebsi for getting me my new appa so I can happily blog my life away now *rainbows and leprechauns*

So its been quite a while now since I can happily put my thoughts into words because we've had all our stuff in storage since forever and my baby got me a new macbook for my birthday and I'm really quite the happiest woman alive now. Not because I'm a blogwhore, I'm really not. I just love typing my thoughts into a keyboard and this must be one of the smoothest keyboard I've ever typed on. It really is.

So anyway, the plan here is to keep my blog updated on all my sewing endeavours and whatever stuff I feel like putting in my blog. I doubt anyone would be reading this blog except for my baby and myself so I guess I can post whatsoever I want (except for pics of my kids coz you never know what kind of psychos are lurking around in cyber space, I know because I'm one of those psycho stalkers)

I hope to be posting up some pics of stuff I've already made once I get them from iCloud so that'll be all for this post.
